About Sandi
I graduated with a certificate in Social Auxiliary work from the University of South Africa then proceeded to work in a halfway house which supported children and adults from rehab, to recover fully and reintegrate into society. I also completed a program called The Support of Children at Risk- which focuses on identifying and supporting vulnerable children facing challenges, abuse, neglect, poverty, and learning difficulties. I learned strategies on how to provide effective emotional, social, and educational support to children. From my educational and professional background- I have grown to appreciate the importance of good foundational education. Ensuring children have a healthy learning environment, especially from a young age- guarantees them a better chance at a good quality life in the future.

My lessons are a warm and home-like environment, making lessons feel like doing homework with a supportive parent. I teach Math, English (with a good focus on reading), and Zulu in an engaging way. I have experience with young learners needing foundational support and confidence-building. I believe children need consistent encouragement and support to believe in themselves.
