About Cleo
As an experienced Flute tutor with 19+ years of teaching, I believe music should be learnt with curiosity, confidence, and joy. I teach school and college students and create lessons that are organised, interactive, and easy to understand. Students begin by learning breathing techniques, posture, finger placement, scales, rhythm, and tone quality before exploring musical expression and performance.
My greatest achievement has been seeing students develop confidence both on and off the stage. Besides flute, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm practice, music appreciation, and beginner keyboard basics to strengthen overall musical understanding. My goal is to help students enjoy music while becoming disciplined and confident learners.

I believe that successful music education combines discipline with creativity. My flute teaching methodology is built on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students become confident and expressive musicians.
Lessons begin with building strong fundamentals such as breathing, posture, finger placement, note reading, rhythm, and tone quality. As students improve, they continue with scales, articulation, dynamics, ornamentation, improvisation, and performance preparation.
I motivate students by celebrating progress and encouraging them to practise with confidence. Communication remains open so every student feels free to ask questions. Integrity ensures fairness, patience, honesty, and respect throughout every lesson.
Creativity is encouraged through classical music, movie melodies, rhythm exercises, duet performances, ear training, listening sessions, and improvisation. I also teach music theory, recorder, beginner keyboard, sight reading, rhythm development, and stage performance.
