About Harrison
I enjoy helping college students discover that learning piano can be both exciting and rewarding. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with students who wanted to improve their musical skills through practical and personalized instruction.
My teaching approach is flexible because every student learns in a unique way. I explain each lesson in simple English, provide practical demonstrations, and create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
To make learning more interesting, I include innovative teaching methods such as technology-based learning, rhythm activities, ear training, listening practice, and creative performance exercises. These techniques help students improve while enjoying every lesson.
Students build confidence in note reading, scales, chords, posture, finger coordination, rhythm, and musical expression. I provide regular progress reviews and practical guidance that support continuous improvement.

My teaching philosophy is based on communication, creativity, flexibility, patience, and continuous improvement. I believe learning piano should be both enjoyable and rewarding. Every lesson is designed to help students build strong technical skills while encouraging creativity and musical expression.
Students begin by learning proper posture, hand position, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. As they improve, they continue with scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, expressive playing, sight reading, and performance preparation.
I teach using simple explanations, demonstrations, practical activities, and regular revision. Students are encouraged to ask questions, practice effectively, and understand every concept before progressing. Personalized feedback supports steady improvement.
Students also explore classical, pop, movie, devotional, and contemporary music while strengthening creativity through improvisation and accompaniment. These activities help students become expressive and confident musicians.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard, ear training, rhythm development, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, performance preparation, and beginner composition. These related subjects provide a complete musical education.
My goal is to guide students toward becoming skilled pianists who enjoy learning, performing, and sharing the beauty of music with others.
