About Aryna

My name is Aryna, and I am a dedicated, hard-working A-Level student with top A/A* predictions in Psychology. Having recently completed the rigorous AQA curriculum myself, I possess a fresh, first-hand understanding of the exact challenges students face, the common pitfalls in the exam papers, and the high-pressure environment of current sixth-form studies. What makes my approach unique is my background in resilience and communication. I have successfully balanced both the British and Ukrainian education systems, which has made me highly adaptable, organised, and an excellent time-manager. Additionally, my completed training in negotiation, conflict resolution, and active listening allows me to be incredibly patient and empathetic with my students. I have a proven track record of helping others succeed, having previously worked as a private GCSE tutor and a peer mentor for Year 12 Psychology students. Beyond academics, my work placement with Choice Support gave me extensive professional experience in adjusting my communication style to suit different individuals. I am incredibly enthusiastic about psychology, and my goal is to pass on the exact study habits, essay-structuring frameworks, and revision techniques that helped me secure my own top grades.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses entirely on the individual student. I start our first session with an informal conversation to pinpoint exactly where they are struggling - whether it is memorising specific case studies, understanding research methods, or structuring the daunting 16-mark essays. Because I am patient, friendly, and relatable, I create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions. During our sessions, we break down complex psychological concepts into simple, digestible blocks. We then look directly at past papers and AQA mark schemes so they learn exactly how examiners award marks. Lessons are standard 60 minutes long, which is the perfect amount of time to focus on one core topic and practise a timed exam question together without causing brain fatigue. Additionally, I am an A/A* predicted student who has just successfully finished the current AQA A-Level Psychology syllabus. I have hands-on teaching experience, having previously worked as a peer tutor for Year 12 Psychology students, as well as working as a private GCSE English tutor.
