About Candis
Refining spiccato and staccato bowing demands deep attention to intonation and classical repertoire control. I anchor my instruction in these technical foundations, having spent 10 years performing on stage and in the studio. Developing rhythm, timing, and proper posture requires a musician who understands the mechanics of the instrument.
I integrate ear training and scales to ensure my 103 students grasp the core concepts of sound production. My methodology remains grounded in the realities of professional performance. Your success comes from clear technical understanding.

Observing the bow contact point creates an immediate transformation in the tone you produce during our time together. We prioritise the physical mechanics of the hold before adjusting our approach to complex etudes.
Progress manifests as audible improvement in your phrasing and clarity throughout the session. By utilising custom scale and etude sheets for each student, I ensure your practice remains focused on the areas requiring the most attention. I expect 10.0 out of 10 effort during our 10 minutes of initial warm-ups. Seeing you succeed in these exercises makes my day.
