About Ruby

With 19+ years of experience in teaching violin, I have successfully helped around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults, to build confidence and improve their skills. My teaching approach is simple, practical, and student-focused, as I believe learning should be easy to understand and enjoyable.

I focus on important areas such as posture, bow control, rhythm, and tone quality, ensuring that students develop strong fundamentals. I explain concepts clearly and provide exercises that support steady progress.

One of my key achievements is helping students improve consistently and perform comfortably. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged, confident, and motivated to continue their musical journey.

About the lesson

My violin teaching approach emphasizes communication, adaptability, and hands-on learning. I carefully observe each student’s learning style, strengths, and goals to tailor lessons that are both effective and enjoyable.

I focus on developing technical skills like posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone production, phrasing, and expressive playing while encouraging creativity and musical interpretation. I use real-life examples such as performing favorite songs, practicing for recitals, and understanding the emotional storytelling of music to make lessons practical and engaging.

Alongside violin, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to provide a well-rounded musical education. My goal is to create a motivating and supportive environment where students gain confidence and enjoy steady progress.
