I’m a second-year undergrad at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, halfway through a biology degree with a focus on pre-nursing. I tutor elementary and middle school math exclusively online.
My approach is simple: I first find out exactly what the student needs help with and focus on that. I break down concepts step-by-step and use real-world examples to make math easy to understand. I’m extremely patient and kind—I’ll never rush a student or get frustrated if they don’t get it right away. Instead, I slow things down and explain in different ways until it clicks.
I don’t give out homework answers. Instead, I guide students to figure things out on their own so they actually learn and build confidence.
My main tutoring experience comes from teaching my little sister, but I’ve also helped fellow college students prepare for precalculus exams, so I know how to explain concepts clearly under pressure.
Lessons can be any length, and I’m available Monday to Thursday, 10 AM to 5 PM.
