About Tais
When I began attending a competitive private high school, I struggled for the first time in math-based subjects, including sciences like chemistry. I felt like even when I got help, I couldn't catch up after I had fallen behind. This is why when I discovered the study methods that worked for me and I started tutoring students myself, I made it a priority to start at the very basic level of a subject to meet students where they were at. I first started tutoring students similar to me who had fallen behind in Algebra 2 or Precalculus and used my own experiences as a student to understand their unique academic challenges and take away their stress, rather than add onto it. I now have over a hundred hours of experience helping raise students' grades and improving their test scores, having learned what students really want along the way.

I work with middle and high school students who are looking to improve their grades in a math class, excel at a higher level in an advanced class, or prepare for an exam. For each of my lessons, I always begin with a diagnostic test to create a personalized lesson plan that makes the most efficient use of time. Based on the total time I have with a student and their beginning level, I make a plan that is driving but manageable. When it comes for preparing for standardized exams like the SAT, I am an expert as I myself took a recent version of the exam and scored in the 99th percentile. My strategy is to break down questions into their most basic components, which has helped my students in conquering all four types of questions on the SAT math section.
