About Carlota
I really love learning, which is why teaching comes very naturally to me. I take tutoring very seriously and do my best to always show up prepared, organized, and on time. I believe students learn best when they feel understood and comfortable, so I keep sessions calm, encouraging, and focused. I pay close attention to each student’s needs and adjust as we go, making sure they actually understand the material. Parents can expect professionalism and reliability, and students can expect someone who listens, explains clearly, and genuinely cares about their progress.

Hi! My name is Carlota, I’m a pre-med student and I really enjoy helping kids learn and feel more confident in school. I’ve worked at a tutoring center here in McAllen where I helped students from kindergarten through high school, so I’m used to explaining things in different ways until they click. I’m strongest in English, history, and social studies, but I’m pretty well-rounded and always willing to help with other subjects too! My lessons are relaxed and supportive, usually starting with what the student is struggling with, then practicing together step by step. What sets me apart is my patience, flexibility, and focus on helping students actually understand the material and not just memorize it!
