About Allison
Hi! My name is Allison, and I am a current undergraduate student studying neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. I have 4+ years of tutoring experience, from tutoring elementary to high school students in STEM subjects (e.g., math, chemistry, physics, biology). I know extensively about AP testing formats and question styles, having been taking AP tests since my sophomore year of high school. From being on my high school's tutoring leadership, to helping elementary students learn at summer camps, I have robust experience in helping others learn.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students understand concepts rather than just memorizing ideas and answers. Therefore, I utilize an interactive approach to teaching, personalizing my style of teaching to each student, by reviewing difficult topics, practicing problems together, and reviewing applicable strategies the student can utilize moving forward. I can teach students from elementary school to high school, specifically in STEM subjects (calculus, pre-calculus, algebra 1/2, trigonometry, geometry, chemistry, physics, biology, etc.). My strong emphasis on critical thinking, thorough understanding, and continual practice is what sets me apart as a tutor.
