I am currently a tutor at Varsity Tutors in which I have numerous reviews on my excellent teaching skills. I was helping a student with her SAT prep and got her score from 1010 to 1300. I am a Pre- Medical student at Hunter College who is majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. I will be able to assist you with all your needs.

Hello! My name is Emma and I am currently a junior in Hunter College with a working bachelors in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I have been tutoring for the past couple of years and strive for student's academic achievements.
When teaching, I believe that each student has the capabilities to succeed with the proper support and techniques. When working with my students, I view both their strengths and weaknesses to better gauge where they may struggle. I like to use real-world examples as I believe it allows the student to conceptualize and understand the problem better. I encourage students to ask questions to understand the learning process better.
As a tutor, it brings me much joy when a student starts to understand a topic and strives to do more questions after having difficulty understanding it. It not only brings up their confidence in the subject, but their enthusiasm for it as a whole.
I am excited about the opportunity to work with students and help them achieve their academic goals.
