About Taylor
Hi! I am an undergraduate Biochemistry student on the pre-medical track with a current 3.7 GPA. I graduated high school with a 3.9 GPA while majoring in Emergency Medical Sciences, which gave me a strong early foundation in science and healthcare.
As someone who has ADHD and dyslexia, I have spent a lot of time developing effective study strategies that make complex material easier to understand and remember. Because of this experience, I’m especially good at helping students who struggle with focus, organization, or traditional study methods. I enjoy showing students practical ways to break down difficult topics, build confidence, and find study techniques that actually work for them.

My tutoring approach focuses on preparation, identifying knowledge gaps, and building long-term study skills. About a week before each session (if possible), I ask students to send the topics they are covering in class so I can review the material and prepare a few questions to assess areas that may need extra support. During the session, we focus on filling those gaps and strengthening their understanding of the concepts. At the end of each meeting, we work through practice problems and create a study plan so the student can continue reviewing effectively until our next session.
In the following session, I revisit the questions the student previously missed to evaluate how well the material was retained and adjust our study strategy if needed. My goal is not only to help students understand the material, but also to build strong study habits and confidence in problem-solving.
I am most comfortable tutoring middle school and high school students, since I have already earned A grades in those courses. However, I can also offer support for university students in the following subjects:
• Calculus I (Grade: A) - This is equivalent to AB & BC calc
• Biology 1 & 2 (Grade: A+ & A)
• General Chemistry 1 & 2 (Grades: B+)
My goal is to make challenging subjects feel manageable and help students develop the skills they need to succeed independently.
