About Sarayu
Hi! My name is Sarayu and I am currently a university student pursuing a pre-dental track. I have always had a strong interest in math and problem solving, and I enjoy helping others understand concepts that may initially feel challenging. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed effective study strategies and analytical skills that I now enjoy sharing with students.
As a tutor, I am patient, supportive, and focused on building confidence. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching style to fit each student’s needs. Because I recently went through many of the same courses and college preparation processes myself, I am able to provide helpful guidance on studying, organization, and preparing for higher education.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident in their abilities and prepared for future academic success.

My goal as a tutor is to help students truly understand math rather than simply memorize steps. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into clear, manageable parts so students can see the logic behind each problem. This approach helps build confidence and long-term problem-solving skills that are essential for success in higher-level courses.
A typical lesson begins by identifying areas where the student is struggling or topics they want to strengthen. I then explain the concept step-by-step, work through guided examples together, and give students the opportunity to practice independently while I provide support and feedback. I also share effective study strategies, test-taking tips, and organizational techniques that help students prepare for college-level academics.
My lessons are designed primarily for middle school and high school students who want to improve their math skills, raise their grades, or prepare for the expectations of college and university courses. As a current university student, I bring a relatable and supportive perspective while maintaining high academic standards, helping students feel more confident, capable, and prepared for their academic goals.
