About Rubi

Hello! My name is Rubí, and I am a native Spanish speaker from Venezuela with experience in teaching Spanish to learners at different levels. I am passionate about helping students improve their language skills in a supportive and patient environment. I understand the challenges of learning a new language because I have faced them myself. My lessons are well-structured, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. I am committed to helping you gain confidence and achieve your goals in Spanish.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach as a Spanish Tutor

I focus on creating a friendly and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing Spanish at their own pace. As a native speaker from Venezuela, I bring authentic pronunciation and cultural insights to every lesson.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I use a combination of conversational practice, vocabulary building, and simple grammar explanations. My lessons are interactive and adapted to each student’s needs, focusing especially on real-life scenarios that help students use Spanish confidently in daily situations. I encourage speaking from the very first lesson and provide gentle corrections to improve pronunciation and fluency.

Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up conversation to assess your comfort level. Then, we focus on a specific theme (such as greetings, ordering food, or describing your day), introducing key vocabulary and phrases. I incorporate listening and speaking exercises, followed by practical conversation practice. I always leave time for questions and review to ensure understanding before moving forward.

What Sets Me Apart:
Being an immigrant myself, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and the importance of patience and encouragement. I’m flexible with scheduling and tailor each lesson to your learning style and goals, whether you want to start from scratch, improve your speaking skills, or just practice conversational Spanish.

Who the Lessons Are For:
My lessons are ideal for beginners, travelers, or anyone wanting to practice and improve their Spanish speaking skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. No prior knowledge is necessary, and I welcome students of all ages who want practical, easy-to-understand Spanish.
