About ISABELLA

I am a Mandarin tutor with more than 30 years of experience using the language in everyday life, professional communication, and business environments.

My passion for teaching Mandarin comes from my deep appreciation of Chinese history, culture, traditions, and philosophy. I believe that learning Mandarin is not only about mastering vocabulary and pronunciation — it is also about understanding the culture, values, and way of thinking behind the language.

My lessons are designed for students who want to communicate with confidence and purpose.

I specialize in practical Mandarin, conversational Chinese, and Business Mandarin for adults, professionals, entrepreneurs, salespeople, and business owners.

With extensive real-world exposure to business communication, retail, sales, purchasing, and customer interaction, I can help students develop Mandarin skills that are relevant to actual professional situations, including:

* Communicating with Chinese customers and business partners
* Speaking with suppliers and manufacturers
* Purchasing and price negotiations
* Sales and customer service conversations
* Meetings and business introductions
* Everyday Mandarin for travel and social situations

My teaching approach is professional, patient, and highly personalized. I adapt each lesson according to the student’s level, profession, objectives, and learning pace.

For complete beginners, I provide clear step-by-step guidance and can explain concepts in English or Bahasa Melayu when needed.

For professionals and business learners, lessons can be customized around real scenarios from their own work or industry.

I want my students to do more than simply understand Mandarin. My goal is to help them speak naturally, communicate confidently, and understand the cultural context behind the language.

Whether you are learning Mandarin for business, career development, travel, personal interest, or a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture, I would be pleased to guide you on your learning journey.

About the lesson

I teach practical Mandarin in a simple, friendly, and easy-to-understand way.

With over 30 years of Mandarin experience, I focus on helping students speak with confidence in real-life situations rather than only memorizing from textbooks.

My lessons include:

* Daily conversation
* Pinyin and pronunciation
* Useful vocabulary and sentence building
* Travel Mandarin
* Business Mandarin
* Mandarin for sales, retail, purchasing and customer communication

I can explain lessons in English or Bahasa Melayu, which is especially helpful for complete beginners.

Lessons are usually 50–60 minutes and can be customized according to your level and goals.

My classes are suitable for teenagers, adults, working professionals, business owners and complete beginners.

Whether you want to speak Mandarin for daily life, travel or business, I will help you learn step by step and use Mandarin with confidence.
