About Lauren
My name is Lauren, I am a postgraduate at UCL studying clinical neuroscience. I have a background in biology, chemistry, psychology and maths. I started teaching in 2022 where I worked in a special educational needs secondary school with students who were diagnosed with dyslexia, ADHD and autism (ASC). It was during this time that I realised my passion for sharing and learning knowledge, motivating students, and inspiring young scientists.

I teach lessons in an engaging way where the students are involved and not just listening. For example, we could find random objects to explain the structural formations of liquid, solid and gases or use a cauliflower to show the anatomy of the brain. My lessons will typically be an hour long. Though I specialise in science and maths, I also have more than a year's experience working in an SEN secondary school. Specifically, with children who are diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia, or Autism.
