About Lily
I am a passionate young women pursuing marine science as a career. Since I was younger I have found I have easily excelled at studies and subjects I am extremely passionate about, such as Biology and English. I loved explaining learning concepts to my parents and friends, and often found my excitement and interest became contagious. However, I also know how it feels to struggle with a subject, as I myself got peer tutoring for calculus, and was very grateful to have a tutor who was encouraging, patient, and built my confidence/ learning abilities, which is what I aim to do! I want for students to be able to feel like I am a friendly figure they can use for help with understanding concepts, breaking down questions, and making study/ revision plans for exams.

I am a 21 year old female who is very chatty and friendly! I am happy to try cater to a variety of different learning types, if the student can let me know what works best, otherwise I can share what was successful to me for learning and then studying/ preparing for exams. I would advise the sessions are no longer than 1 or 1 1/2 hours, as this length of time is ideal for information absorption and engagement, with a small 5-10 minute brain break in the middle of learning. I have peer tutored several friends before in higher standards at university, as well as having practice explaining my research topics/ studies to a younger audience.
