About Alex
I am currently a 2nd year postgraduate research student in Geology at the University of Bristol with a first class BSc (hons) degree in Geology. I have over a years experience demonstrating for a range of undergraduate classes at university level (including geological mapping, fieldwork skills, igneous petrology, geochemistry, economic geology and fundamental methods in science) and have a strong understanding of degree level, A-Level and GCSE course structure, marking criteria, exam techniques and those insider tips and tricks to help you achieve to your full potential.

Geology is a fascinating, multi-disciplinary subject that builds upon the fundamental principals of chemistry, physics and maths to develop an understanding of the Earth and our Solar system. I offer GCSE to A-Level tutoring in chemistry, physics and maths, as well as GCSE, A-Level and degree (BSc and MSc) level tutoring in Geology.
My lesson structure is based on assessing a students current knowledge and skill set, creating a step-by-step plan of action and developing upon their pre-existing strengths and learning styles to help them achieve their goals! Ranging from hands-on and visual learning methods to more traditional ones. The syllabus depend on the students learning outcomes and is very flexible, anything from a casual one off chats to week-long introductory courses.
