About Joey
Growing up in an intercultural and bilingual setting has exposed me to the beauty and challenging aspects of different languages. As a result, I have a passion for language and inter-cultural communication. My education has predominately been in English, although I also speak fluent Dutch, and can fully understand Afrikaans and some French. I am working on learning Arabic next. I enjoy helping others to be able to communicate in English better, as mastering this language can lead to countless other opportunities.

I enjoy giving interactive, fun, and goal-oriented lessons where we work together on mastering a specific aspect of the English language every lesson. Typically my lessons last about an hour, with breaks to keep students engaged. I have completed the TEFL training, taught at various elementary English language camps, and also have extensive experience with academic english. I have the most experience teaching at an elementary level but am eager to explore teaching older students as well.
