About Luke

Hello, I'm Luke, a native English speaker and Master's student. I was born in Melbourne and have lived here my whole life. I studied Biomedical Science for my undergraduate, but I am now studying for a Master of Public Policy at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. For three years, I have taught multiple subjects to year 11 and 12 students. Now I am broadening my range by also tutoring university level students.

Tutoring Credentials:
* Four years teaching experience: tutoring students taking Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) exams and a client taking the Written Section Test (WST) for Fire Rescue Victoria.
* GAMSAT Score of 66 in March 2017
* Current Working with Children Check (WCC) Victoria
* “Genuinely think you're a born teacher, you were a big help!” – Michael S, 2021

Academic Credentials:
* Graduate Diploma of Public Policy (GDipPubPol) RMIT University, Melbourne, Victoria – 2025
* Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc) Monash University, Clayton, Victoria – 2016

About the lesson

I bring a unique blend of expertise with a background in health, science, and public policy, with four years of experience as a private tutor. This combination allows me to provide English teachings across multiple subjects.

I am confident in my ability to help you overcome challenges such as:

* Confidence in speaking and writing: you have the skills to achieve your goals but are hesitant to apply those skills in specific settings.
* Academic Success: you are feeling overwhelmed by the work load and would like strategies to quickly understanding assignment requirements and then how to reach a goal that you’re aiming for.
* Struggling with concepts: you want to understand the content of your studies better so that you can apply them to problems that you see in the world.
* Confidence in speaking about what you care about: you care about issues that people face and want to let others know that you care.
