As a post-baccalaureate accounting student with a strong foundation in financial and managerial accounting, economics, and business statistics, I approach tutoring by breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable terms. I focus on building a strong conceptual understanding first, then reinforcing it through practical examples and problem-solving. I tailor my teaching style to match each student’s learning pace and preferences, whether they're visual, verbal, or hands-on learners.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session starts with a quick review of previous material to reinforce retention. Then, we dive into the topic of the day, starting with a conceptual overview followed by working through example problems together. I always leave time for questions and end with a short recap and practice problems to solidify the learning. I also provide additional resources or practice questions if the student wants extra help outside of sessions.
