About Brianna
I am due to graduate from Stirling University in June 2021 with an expected 1st class BA(Hons) degree in International Politics. In September 2021 I am due to begin a MSc in Human Rights and International Politics at Glasgow University.
Outside university I have experience in research, academic political news coverage and I have been awarded for my public speaking skills.
I have extensive experience with children, volunteering both at a local youth group for 4 years and in a classroom for students with additional support needs prior to university. Therefore, I am confident teaching a wide range of abilities and ages.
Additionally, in my spare time I volunteer at a local refugee charity where I co-designed and delivered a course on the UK driving theory test with the assistance of a translator.
I hope to bring all these experiences into my tutoring, not only helping students prepare for exams but also providing an insight into future career paths.

I focus on a student-centred approach concentrating on an individuals' strengths and weaknesses and creating a focused plan around these needs. I provide lessons for both primary and secondary students, with a focus on sparking a passion for social science subjects applicable to both.
In secondary school students, I focus on core elements such as essay skills, exam technique, critical analysis and marking criteria. While in primary school my focus will orientate around class projects developing early critical and autonomous thinking capability.
I will tailor my lessons to individual students but will favour practical learning opportunities. For example, reviewing a written assignment with the student and helping to suggest improvements, as I believe practical learning increases student confidence.
I also have experience working with individuals with learning difficulties.
