About Ronnie

Having completed year 13 and my first year of university in the midst of a pandemic, I am familiar with how challenging these conditions are and how they affect learning and grasping both new and previously learned content. I hope to be able to relieve some stress or help regain strength in these subjects by taking the time to personally tutor anyone that needs help.

From my experience as a student and tutoring others, I feel that the most effective method of strengthening a student’s ability to apply skills to various contexts and questions is by completing various practice questions and simulatory activities. After introducing the basic concepts of a given topic, my primary focus is practising with questions until the student is confident enough to apply what they’ve learned confidently and independently.

About the lesson

I feel that patience and perseverance are very important, and as such, I do my best to maintain an open dialogue between my students and me and encourage them to not be disheartened. These are challenging subjects and I shall do my best to deliver and tailor the most effective teaching method appropriate for each student to ensure their success and understanding of their chosen subjects.

During class, I maintain a conversation-like structure between the students and me. This facilitates a comfortable environment for the students whereby they are able to learn, ask questions and develop as they go with my guidance supporting them. I do my best to ensure that my students have the time to have any of their concerns addressed prior to the end of class, and if there is no time, I make an effort to make note of questions so they can be ready for the next class.

Lauren

Ronnie is a very well-rounded, down to earth and thoughtful individual that ensures a great teaching atmosphere! She is very attentive and energetic who takes the time to make sure I am comfortable; she is also very patient and makes sure that I fully understand things even if that means adapting to the ways I learn best. I would definitely recommend Ronnie as working with her has been very fun, productive and professional.
