About Christine
Hello! I'm a recent graduate from the National University of Singapore and private tutoring experience in Conversational/Business English and A-level General Paper.
I enjoy connecting with my students and making sure that they feel comfortable with the pace and structure of my lessons. I also create personalized lessons and notes that are tailored to support my students in building their English foundation and confidence with speaking and writing English.

As a tutor, I want to make learning more enjoyable for my students. This is why I make sure to understand my student's needs and goals to tailor my class and teaching pace accordingly. I also make my own teaching materials and notes.
For A-Level students, I'm looking to support you in areas that school teachers were unable to. I don't believe in giving homework without a reason, or for the sake of homework. Lessons are usually 1.5 to 2 hours long, and they include a mix of Paper 1 Essay Writing and Paper 2 Comprehension Questions. At the beginning, we will identify areas of weaknesses through past exam papers and results, before improving on them through techniques, strategies and repetition.
For adult learners, I have 3 years of experience teaching business and conversational English to adult learners whose native language is Mandarin Chinese. I use a mix of videos and self-made notes in my teaching with an emphasis on everyday, pragmatic topics such as "ordering at a restaurant" and "booking a medical appointment".
