About David
I'm David. For 13 years I've worked as a political consultant, alongside politicians at state and federal level across Australia. A big part of that job is getting people ready for high-pressure moments: a speech that has to land, a debate where one bad answer becomes the headline, a room full of people who've already made up their minds.
I also train staff to communicate clearly, so I've learned how to teach this, not just do it. My approach is simple: understand why something works, practice it on your real material, get honest feedback, and repeat until it sticks.
I'm direct but encouraging. I won't waste your time with generic tips, and I won't tell you something's good when it isn't. You'll leave knowing exactly what to fix and how.

Most people think a good presentation is about confidence. It isn't. It's about knowing exactly what you're trying to say, and the confidence follows.
How I teach: we start with the structure underneath a good talk, so you understand why it works, not just what to do. Then we work on your real material, whether it's a pitch, a board presentation, a meeting you're dreading or a speech for a wedding or funeral. You practise, I give you honest, specific feedback, and you run it again until it feels natural. You leave each lesson with a simple structure you can reuse without me.
Lessons run for one hour, online, in the evenings. Your first 30 minutes is free, so you can see if my approach suits you.
Who they're for: adults at any level, from people who freeze at the thought of speaking to experienced professionals who want to sharpen up before a big moment.
My experience: I've spent 13 years as a political consultant, working with politicians across Australia and preparing them for the rooms where getting it wrong costs something: speeches, debates, media and tough crowds. I've also trained hundreds of staff to communicate clearly under pressure.
