About Jeremy
I'm very understanding and empathetic about your struggles. I became a tutor only after I hired one to help me prepare for the GRE, so I know how important a role tutors can play. But I also know it's important to teach, and not do the work for you. So I may often ask you to take a stab at figuring out the problem, which can be frustrating. But I will never leave you in the lurch, and always ensure you have the tools you need to complete the work on your own.

I like to really understand the specifics of where a student is lacking. I push them to tell me now just that they don't understand something, but where the breakdown in the process is occurring, and what was lacking in their teacher's lesson. Most crucially, I keep them in the driver's seat, ensuring that they ask the questions they need to and learning all the answers to feel empowered to move further on their own. I work with everyone from elementary schoolers through adult learners.
