About Samuel
I have just completed the IB diploma and will be studying medicine in September. I achieved 39 points with a 7 in higher Biology and 6’s in higher Chemistry and Psychology. At standard level I did Maths, English and German ab initio.
I believe that my recent experience as an IB student will allow me to understand and relate to your problems in a way that is often hard for teachers.

I always found that practicing was the best way to learn. However, in order to do this, you need to understand what it is that you’re being asked about.
As a tutor, I would work through three simple steps after target areas have been identified:
1. Talk through the content, ensuring that the student has an understanding of the information.
2. Talk through some practice questions on that content with the student.
3. Let the student attempt some practice questions on their own and then correct and help the student with any questions they got wrong.
From helping my friends who were struggling, I saw that it doesn’t matter how intelligent you are if you don’t understand the content. I aim to focus on helping students to achieve this understanding by listening to the students confusions and presenting the information in a way that relates to them.
