About Pete
Hi, I’m Pete… a multidisciplinary creative based in Plymouth UK. My purpose in my work is to share my love of what I do and in turn give brands and businesses alike a creative lift. I have been working in the creative industry for over 20 years as a designer and illustrator and have worked for the likes of Disney/Pixar, The UNHRC and various illustrative rebranding and editorial projects throughout my career.
I work in both digital and more traditional media in my illustration work. Whilst I really enjoy mark making and making pretty pictures, a lot of what I’m about as a creative is play and ideas. I love conceptual thinking and telling stories through creativity with charm. My goal on the whole is to help raise smiles and to give client’s a much needed creative pick-me-up.

Whether you’re a beginner or a student studying illustration I want to show how there’s more to illustration than just creating pretty pictures. Having ideas and conceptual thinking in your tool belt is an amazing way to add depth and substance to your work and will help massively with editorial illustration and illustrative rebrand briefs.
For me these lessons would not be about you doing what I can do. I would like to nurture you, (your thinking and your skillset) so we can find your true creative self. It would be important to know what you hope to achieve so we can tailor lessons and projects to suit your needs. That said, I have a plethora of warm up exercises to help get you started.
Ultimately, everything I hope to teach centres around giving you a creative-lift to embrace you and to getting you to think conceptually.
