About Louis
Do you struggle with posture and hand position or find rhythm and timing a consistent challenge? I teach music theory, accompaniment skills, and classical repertoire while weaving in jazz improvisation and memorization techniques to keep things engaging. Having completed my MMus Music Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, I rely on 13 years of experience to guide students.
Music has been my life since childhood, and I find joy in helping others navigate these complex concepts. I stay patient and energetic, aiming to keep the process of learning music deeply rewarding for everyone involved.

Will a diagnostic playing assessment help us clarify exactly where to focus our energy? Since I hold an MMus Music Performance degree, I integrate a structured approach to posture and hand position, music theory, rhythm and timing, accompaniment skills, classical repertoire, jazz improvisation, and memorisation techniques.
We use the first 10 minutes to settle in, then progress through the fundamentals at a steady pace. This diagnostic process allows us to establish a rhythm that feels natural and productive. You will find that my approach remains balanced, aiming to keep your momentum steady throughout our time together.
