About Manuel

My name is MannyLinx, self-taught artist based out of Los Angeles, California. Having attended schools such as Art Center in Pasadena, Otis College and USC, I knew art was my calling from an early age. From blue ribbon awards at the LA County Fair to multiple city grants, this art journey has been nothing short of amazing. Growing up in a less fortunate neighborhood, art was my escape and therapy. Having pushed my own limits and going beyond the boundaries, I found my true calling and love for art, while simultaneously helping others as well. 20+ years along my journey I’ve participated in many shows, events, artwalks and pop-ups where I met some amazing fellow artists I still keep in contact with today and are considered family. From curating the L.A. Artshow 4 years in a row, curating the Getty Museum's 25th anniversary, to solo shows and more, this art life will never end, only get more creative for long last impressions for future art enthusiasts.

About the lesson

Art is part of life that opens up doors with endless possibilities. Not only will you be taught the basic fundamentals of creating art but as well as the core values that define artists and why they create from within. You’ll be pushed beyond your own beliefs and reach new plateaus that guide you in a direction one could've never imagined. As an established self-taught artist, I too doubted my own capabilities but with constant practice (10,000 hrs+) , endless exploration and proper guidance from the right mentors, I was able to discover my own personal techniques and direction I wanted to pursue with my art career.
