About Kyla
I am a piano teacher with more than 8 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy. I love helping students connect with music emotionally while building strong technical skills.
I focus on pedal technique, dynamic control, and phrasing so that every performance is expressive and nuanced. Technique supports artistry, allowing each piece to come alive.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and goals. I enjoy helping students uncover their own sound and develop personal interpretation. We explore tone, timing, and musical storytelling together.
I provide a supportive and positive environment where students feel confident and inspired. Learning the piano becomes a meaningful journey. My goal is to help students become skilled, expressive, and confident musicians.

I teach piano with a focus on improvisation, creativity, and personal expression. Students explore jazz, blues, pop, and beyond. Lessons are interactive, fun, and designed to inspire musical growth.
We work on melodic development to turn ideas into flowing, expressive phrases. Comping patterns, chord voicings, and rhythm exercises strengthen harmonic understanding. I also teach students how to build spontaneous arrangements from simple ideas.
My methodology encourages musical freedom while maintaining technical skill. You’ll learn to improvise confidently, adapt in the moment, and discover your own musical voice. I provide consistent, helpful feedback to support your progress.
I work well with jazz pianists and pop players who want to explore improvisation. Lessons are hands-on and creative. Together, we develop the ability to make music spontaneously and confidently.
