About Selene

I completed my Master’s degree in Piano Studies and have 10 years of teaching experience working with students from beginner to advanced levels. My journey with piano began at an early age and developed into a strong passion for both performance and teaching.

My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and consistent practice. I break down complex pieces into smaller sections so students can learn them comfortably and build confidence step by step. I use demonstrations, exercises, and personalized feedback to help students improve effectively. I also adapt my teaching style to match each student’s pace and learning preferences.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing piano and exploring different musical styles to stay inspired and updated. Teaching piano is deeply rewarding because I see students grow in skill, confidence, and expression over time. Helping them enjoy music and achieve their goals motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and enthusiasm.

About the lesson

Piano learning becomes much more effective when students understand how technique and expression work together instead of simply playing notes. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in finger control, rhythm, coordination, and music reading through clear and structured guidance. I help students understand how to play smoothly and accurately while also expressing emotion through their music. I include exercises that improve timing, dynamics, and hand coordination, allowing students to develop balanced skills. Each session is supportive and flexible, helping students learn comfortably at their own pace.

I structure my lessons based on the student’s level and learning goals to ensure steady progress. Beginners focus on basic hand positioning, simple melodies, and note reading. Intermediate learners work on scales, coordination, and more complex pieces. Advanced students focus on musical expression, performance techniques, and advanced compositions. Practice routines, structured exercises, and feedback are included in every lesson to support continuous improvement.

Piano also helps students develop concentration, discipline, and creativity. As they improve, they gain confidence in their ability to perform and express themselves through music. Many students find piano both relaxing and rewarding. My goal is to make piano learning structured, engaging, and confidence-building for every learner.
