About Perla
Piano instruction covers classical repertoire, accompaniment skills, and chord voicing. I admit that keeping posture and hand position correct is often the hardest part of early development.
After 13 years of teaching, I have helped many students refine their sight reading, rhythm, and timing. We also work extensively on dynamics and expression to ensure the sound reflects your personal style. It is quite common for learners to overlook these technical details until a teacher points them out.

Starting with a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan keeps our time focused. It feels more effective to map out exactly where your strengths lie before moving forward.
During these 9 sessions, I apply the background gained from my MMus Music Performance at the University of Otago. My approach relies on the 13 years of experience I have built to ensure you play with confidence. I genuinely hope to see you enjoy the process of making music as much as I do.
