About Camille
Dynamics and expression along with rhythm and timing are rarely the first things beginners think of, yet they form the core of my teaching. My 7 years of performing and teaching throughout New York have shaped a specific perspective on hand position and posture that favors longevity over quick speed. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music, I focus heavily on the mechanics of chord voicing, sight transposition, and essential scales.
Work with me involves a steady exploration of classical repertoire, music theory, and hand independence. Whether prepping for auditions or picking up the instrument as an adult, students find that I value the nuance of bel-canto phrasing above all else. This process is about refined movement and the way we interpret the page.
