Hi, I'm Jannett

You already have a musician inside you. You just haven't met them yet.

Maybe there's a song that stops you every time you hear it. Maybe you've always imagined sitting at a piano and actually playing — not just practicing. Maybe you want your child to grow up with music in their bones, not just in their earbuds.

Whatever brought you here, I can help you get there. Not through rigid syllabuses or exam-driven drills — but by finding the music that already matters to you, and building from that.

I started piano at five, alongside vocal training and dance. Music wasn't a subject I studied — it was how I understood the world. By high school I'd earned China's highest piano certification (Grade 10), and I've spent the years since teaching children and adults across China and Australia to find their own voice through music. I also hold a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) from the University of Melbourne — so whether my student is four or forty, I know how to make things click.

I sing. I arrange. I compose. I teach piano, ukulele, and early childhood music. And I teach in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese — so whoever you are, we'll find a way to make it work.

I am an Australian Chinese who was born and raised in Guangzhou, studied in Melbourne, and have spent time in more than 20 countries. I'm drawn to philosophy, psychology, Buddhism and Taoism. If you happen to be an enthusiast of diverse cultures apart from music, we'll get along very well. :)

- I'll arrange it to your exact skill level, design a week-by-week practice plan, and walk alongside you until you can play it
- Want to sing it too? We can work on voice and piano in the same sessions

② Theory & Foundations (Children · Adults welcome)

Theory through real instruments and experience — not textbooks.

- Sight-reading, notation, rhythm, ear training, basic harmony
- Children learn through ukulele + piano together — concepts click fast, progress is visible
- Games, songs, movement and real repertoire — every lesson is experienced, not just memorized
- Builds the foundation that makes every future lesson easier

③ Skills & Practice Coaching (Kids & Adults)

Bring what you're working on. I fix what's holding you back.

- Hand position, posture, touch, pedaling, rhythm, expression
- Real-time feedback — I watch, listen, and correct in the moment

④ Little Musicians — Early Childhood Music (Ages 0–3)
Parent and child together. No experience needed.

- Drawing on years with The Song Room and community music programs in Melbourne
