I’m Matthew-John, a professional jazz pianist and jazz performance student based in Montreal. I play regularly at venues like Upstairs Jazz Bar, Barbossa, and Salon Badin, and I’ve worked with students of all ages and levels. I teach both traditional piano (reading, technique, classical pieces) and more modern, ear-based approaches focused on jazz, improvisation, and groove. I keep things clear, practical, and tailored to your goals — whether you’re just starting out, picking it back up, or looking to level up your playing.
