About Hazel
I am a piano tutor with 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Instruction. I enjoy helping students achieve meaningful progress by creating lessons that are encouraging, practical, and enjoyable.
My teaching approach emphasizes patience, consistency, and personal growth. I adapt every lesson to individual learning styles so students develop confidence while mastering important musical skills.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing piano miniatures, collaborating with vocalists, and exploring different keyboard traditions. These experiences provide fresh ideas that make every lesson engaging and inspiring.

My piano lessons are designed to help students understand music while building confidence through enjoyable practice. We study note reading, rhythm, scales, chord patterns, finger coordination, pedal control, sight reading, musical dynamics, and expressive performance using practical activities and engaging musical pieces. Every lesson encourages steady improvement and creative learning.
As students advance, we introduce improvisation, accompaniment techniques, duet performance, ear training, recital preparation, musical phrasing, interpretation, and organized practice routines. I provide supportive guidance that helps learners strengthen both technical ability and musical creativity.
My goal is to help students become confident pianists who enjoy expressing themselves through music. Every lesson develops technical skills, artistic understanding, and long-term musical confidence.
