About Wren
I am a piano tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music. I offer personalized lessons designed to meet each student’s goals, whether they are beginners, advanced players, or working toward mastery.
My focus is on pop piano arranging, modern chord voicings, and playing by ear for popular songs. Students learn to interpret melodies, improvise, and create their own musical arrangements. My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and encourages creativity at every step.
I have experience teaching pop, rock, R&B, and contemporary worship music. Lessons include hands-on practice, exploring chord structures, and learning techniques to play confidently by ear. Students gain skills that make music enjoyable and accessible.
I emphasize understanding the theory behind the music while keeping lessons fun and practical. Whether learning new songs, improvising, or arranging, students develop both technique and musical expression. I invite students to start learning with me and explore their full musical potential.

My teaching approach focuses on developing strong sight-reading and music-reading skills. I specialize in sight-reading exercises, speed reading music, identifying intervals on the staff, and improving rhythmic accuracy. Lessons are systematic, building solid visual-to-finger coordination.
I work with child prodigies and hobbyist adults, offering drills that improve accuracy and fluency. Students learn to read rhythms, recognize intervals quickly, and translate notation to precise finger movements. Lessons combine technical practice with enjoyable repertoire.
I emphasize gradual progression, starting with simpler passages and increasing difficulty. Students gain the ability to read ahead, anticipate patterns, and maintain steady rhythm. Exercises for both hands strengthen coordination and independence.
The goal is to help students confidently tackle new pieces at sight. Lessons build speed, accuracy, and musical comprehension. Students leave each session more confident, capable, and expressive at the piano.
