About Rina
My passion for piano began with a fascination for harmony, structure, and emotional storytelling through music. I completed a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and have 7 years of teaching experience working with students of different ages and abilities. Over time, I have developed a teaching approach that blends discipline with creativity, helping students grow in both skill and musical understanding.
My teaching style is clear, structured, and supportive. I believe in building strong foundations first and then gradually introducing more complex techniques as students become confident. I focus on helping learners understand not just how to play music, but how to interpret and express it. This approach allows students to develop independence and long-term musical growth.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano repertoire, studying new compositions, and exploring different musical styles. These experiences help me bring variety and depth into my lessons. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing students evolve from hesitant learners into confident musicians who can perform with expression, clarity, and emotional depth. That transformation is what continually inspires my teaching journey.

My piano lessons focus on helping students develop strong technical ability while also building musical sensitivity and expression. I teach finger independence, hand coordination, sight reading, rhythm accuracy, scales, chords, dynamics, articulation, and expressive phrasing. Each concept is broken down into simple steps so students can understand it clearly and apply it effectively. The lessons are structured to support steady improvement at a comfortable pace.
Students are guided based on their level and goals. Beginners focus on note reading, hand position, basic rhythms, and simple melodies. Intermediate learners develop coordination, fluency, expressive playing, and stronger reading skills. Advanced students work on interpretation, performance preparation, technical refinement, and stylistic expression. Students interested in accompaniment, exams, or performance receive structured practice guidance. Continuous feedback helps ensure consistent improvement.
Learning piano should feel calm, enjoyable, and motivating. My lessons create a supportive environment where students can grow at their own pace without stress. Over time, learners become more confident in reading music, playing with expression, and performing with ease. My goal is to help students build both strong technical skills and a deep emotional connection with music.
