About Tessa
I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance and Classical Music Studies after years of studying instrumental technique, collaborative music, and advanced teaching methods during my academic journey. During the past 10 years, I have guided students from different age groups and experience levels, helping them improve through personalized instruction and supportive lesson planning. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, mentorship, and emotional expression in a deeply meaningful way. I enjoy helping learners discover confidence through music and artistic growth.
My teaching style focuses on flexibility, patience, and balanced musical development. Some students improve best through structured repetition and technical exercises, while others respond more naturally to improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s personality, comfort level, and artistic interests. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen rhythm awareness, listening ability, expressive playing, and stage confidence. Building a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere remains one of my most important priorities as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring different musical traditions, and studying educational approaches that help keep lessons fresh and motivating. Music remains an important source of inspiration and creativity in my life. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured through their musical journey. Helping learners enjoy music while building long-term piano skills continues to motivate me greatly.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build strong musical understanding while enjoying the process of learning and performing music in a supportive setting. I teach rhythm control, note reading, finger independence, hand coordination, expressive phrasing, and dynamic balance using clear explanations and practical exercises that feel approachable for every learner. Lessons also include improvisation activities, duet practice, timing drills, ear training, and sight-reading exercises that help students improve steadily over time. I create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring music confidently without unnecessary pressure. Every lesson balances structure, creativity, and long-term musical growth together.
Beginners learn keyboard familiarity, posture, scales, and simple melodies through patient instruction and organized studies that build healthy foundational habits. Intermediate learners strengthen coordination between both hands, rhythmic consistency, expressive timing, and smoother transitions through guided practice and structured musical exercises. Advanced students focus on interpretation skills, advanced repertoire refinement, emotional storytelling, and performance preparation through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, confidence level, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and encouraging throughout the learning process.
Learning piano should feel inspiring and personally rewarding. I encourage students to appreciate gradual improvement while building confidence through supportive feedback and regular practice. Many learners become more expressive and independent as their musical understanding continues developing naturally over time.
