About Mila
I have 9 years of experience teaching piano and hold a B.Mus in Piano Performance and an M.Mus in Music Pedagogy. My teaching career has spanned learners of all ages and skill levels, from beginners taking their first lessons to advanced students preparing for performances and examinations. I focus on combining technical mastery with musical interpretation, helping students gain confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of music.
My lessons emphasize personalized instruction, ensuring that each student receives guidance tailored to their strengths, challenges, and goals. I use exercises for finger dexterity, rhythm, and musicality, along with repertoire study, improvisation, and ensemble practice. Students are encouraged to develop their own artistic voice while learning to perform with accuracy and expression.
Beyond teaching, I continue to engage with music through performance, composition, and study of contemporary and classical repertoire. This allows me to bring fresh ideas and insights to each lesson. Witnessing students grow from basic skills to expressive, confident performance is incredibly rewarding. My mission is to nurture technically competent, expressive, and inspired pianists who enjoy and value their musical journey.

Learning piano is most effective when lessons balance technique, creativity, and musical interpretation. For beginners, lessons introduce proper posture, hand coordination, basic scales, simple melodies, and elementary rhythm exercises. Intermediate students focus on harmonic understanding, expressive phrasing, dynamic control, technical challenges, and expanding repertoire across genres. Advanced learners explore advanced techniques, interpretative skills, composition exercises, performance preparation, and ensemble collaboration. Each session is tailored to the student’s goals, fostering steady progress and a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical aspects of piano.
Studying piano enhances cognitive development, creativity, concentration, and emotional expression. Students gain confidence performing solo or in ensembles, develop musical sensitivity, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music.
