About Katherine
I completed a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and have spent the past 5 years helping students discover the joy of learning piano. My passion for teaching grew from seeing how music can positively influence confidence, creativity, and personal growth. Working with learners of different ages has taught me the importance of flexibility and patience. Each student brings unique strengths, interests, and learning styles that shape the teaching experience.
My approach combines technical instruction with musical exploration. I want students to understand why they are learning a skill rather than simply repeating exercises. Lessons are designed to be supportive, encouraging, and engaging. I focus on building strong foundations while creating opportunities for creative expression. Students receive clear explanations, practical feedback, and consistent encouragement throughout their progress.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, exploring new repertoire, and studying different piano teaching methods. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas into every lesson. Watching students develop confidence and musical independence is incredibly rewarding. I believe music should be accessible, inspiring, and enjoyable for everyone. My goal is to help learners build skills they can enjoy for a lifetime.

My piano lessons focus on helping students develop a natural connection with music while building strong technical foundations.
