About Harvey
"Beginners and advanced learners alike often find that the biggest hurdle is simply starting. I have guided 180 students through the intricacies of music over my career.
My instruction covers memorization techniques and ear training alongside scales and arpeggios. We prioritize correct posture and hand position to prevent strain.
I also specialize in grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity boards. Mastering chord voicing and dynamics and expression is where the real magic happens. My approach is firm yet balanced."

"Sitting at the piano for 9 minutes of focused warm-ups, we begin by settling into the rhythm of the instrument. My MMus Vocal Studies from Nanyang Technological University allows me to bridge the gap between simple notes and genuine musicality. We spend our time refining your posture and hand position while integrating ear training into every piece. Because I have taught 180 students, I can quickly identify the technical adjustments that will improve your playing efficiency.
You will find that our sessions focus on the 10 core elements of performance. I look forward to exploring these pieces with you at your own pace."
