I’m a Physics tutor with over 9 years of experience and an MSc in Condensed Matter Physics. My passion lies in making complex ideas accessible, especially in environmental radiation physics. Over the years, I’ve helped countless students master the principles of natural and artificial radioactivity. Together, we explore how radiation interacts with matter and how to detect and measure it accurately. I specialise in teaching radiation detection techniques, shielding strategies, and the environmental impact of nuclear waste. Students often come to me overwhelmed by these topics, but leave confident and inspired. I’ve worked extensively with learners from environmental science, health physics, and nuclear engineering backgrounds. My lessons are tailored to their specific needs and career goals. Through real-world examples and clear explanations, I show how radiation physics connects to environmental safety and sustainability. I also focus on cultivating critical thinking so students can assess radiation risks effectively. Watching students develop both skill and confidence is the most rewarding part of my work.
