About Zara

My fascination with understanding how the universe works led me to pursue a Master’s in Applied Physics, which gave me both theoretical insight and practical expertise. Over 8 years of teaching, I have worked with students of diverse backgrounds, helping them comprehend mechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism through patient explanation and structured guidance. I aim to make learning physics approachable, encouraging curiosity and building both conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.

I focus on clarity, stepwise explanation, and interactive teaching, combining diagrams, analogies, real-world examples, and guided exercises to help learners internalise concepts. My approach emphasises independent reasoning, allowing students to explore ideas, ask questions freely, and develop confidence in their ability to understand complex physical phenomena. I also provide practical guidance for exams, problem-solving strategies, and critical thinking exercises to reinforce learning.

Outside the classroom, I engage in research reading, simulations, and practical experiments, which enrich my lessons and keep them current and relevant. Witnessing students grow from uncertainty to confidently solving problems and thinking analytically is immensely rewarding. My ultimate goal is to inspire learners to approach physics with curiosity, determination, and confidence, equipping them with skills and understanding that will serve both their academic growth and everyday decision-making.

Physics becomes both accessible and exciting when students can relate abstract theories to real-world observations. My lessons emphasise understanding core concepts in mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and energy systems by using simple language, clear explanations, and practical examples. I focus on nurturing analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, guiding students to approach each challenge step by step. Lessons include visual aids, demonstrations, and interactive discussion to make complex ideas approachable, while fostering curiosity and confidence. By exploring experiments, observing phenomena, and applying theoretical principles, students gain a deep and lasting understanding of physics beyond rote memorisation.

I design lessons according to the student’s level and pace. Beginners are introduced to basic principles, simple calculations, and guided exercises to build foundational understanding. Intermediate learners tackle multi-step problem-solving, derivations, and applied concepts in circuits, motion, and thermodynamics. Advanced learners engage in theoretical analysis, modelling, experiment interpretation, and exam-oriented problem-solving strategies. Each session blends conceptual explanations, practical exercises, and feedback, ensuring students develop competence, confidence, and independent reasoning skills while steadily progressing.

Physics learning goes beyond formulae; it encourages logical thinking, analytical skills, and resilience in problem-solving. My goal is to help students develop both understanding and curiosity, building a strong foundation for academic achievement and critical thinking in daily life. Lessons are designed to be empowering, engaging, and comprehensive, helping learners not only master physics but also gain confidence in tackling complex challenges, think critically, and appreciate the beauty and logic of the natural world.
