About Jacob
I have been a teacher for 16 years including Science KS3 Coordinator, Head of Physics and Assistant Head of Science. I am currently an Examiner as well.
My classes always achieved or surpassed their predictions and I'm pleased to say my lessons were rated outstanding by Oftsed.
I have written schemes of learning for all Key Stages of Science and know the course requirements intimately. I am confident in teaching all of the sciences through Key Stages 3 and 4. Physics is my passion , and I have written and performed lectures for the Institute of Physics on the OCR A Level Physics course.

The key to learning is interest and engagement. We've all been in situations where someone is talking at us and our mind has gone elsewhere.
When dealing with course content I draw on a range of resources such as animations and video clips and where possible physical demonstrations to get across the concepts.
There is no avoiding the fact that in the exams it is written questions which need answering, therefore we must practice example questions in order to learn how to answer them as completely as possible.
However, by ensuring a variety of tasks are undertaken, interest and concentration can remain high throughout our lessons.

Details
For A-level physics the rate is £45 per hour. I am happy to do fractions of an hour as well.
For GCSE (any science) the rate is £35 per hour.
For KS3 science the rate is £25 per hour.
