About Jennifer
I have worked in science communication for a number of years, delivering fun and engaging science and planetarium shows to primary and secondary school audiences. I have also delivered after school STEM club sessions to year 8 students in topics including particle physics and the electromagnetic spectrum.
As a STEM Ambassador, I have an up-to-date DBS certificate which is renewed every 2-3 years.

I'm a part-time student of physics and astronomy with over 4 years of experience in science communication. I am offering help with maths and science to students of all ages and abilities up to A level.
I am easy-going and happy to work to your individual needs - before our first session, I will talk through with you what areas you feel you (or your child) need most help with so that I can make a rough plan, which we can adapt together as we go.
I also understand struggling with confidence in difficult subject areas, and I want to help students to build their confidence and learn to love science and not to fear the maths!

Details
I offer one-to-one tuition at a basic rate of £10/hr.
As I am only too aware of the fact that many students who would benefit from tutoring may struggle to afford it, I am happy to negotiate fees for a block of hours for anyone who may not otherwise be able to pay.
I also offer free guidance with the process of considering, searching and applying for university/higher education, or thinking about future careers, for STATE SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY (if they have received/are receiving tutoring from me)
