About Aditya
Aditya Shanker is an accomplished individual with a diverse range of skills and experiences. He graduated from BITS-Pilani, Pilani Campus with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Physics. Despite receiving lucrative corporate job offers, Aditya chose to work with an NGO in the education sector in central India to gain an understanding of the education scenario in India and learn basic skills to uplift the literacy of the country. He later worked as a Mechanical Engineer with an oil and gas design firm in India and the USA before turning to teaching. Aditya taught Physics at a top institute in New Delhi for IIT-JEE preparation.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Aditya has a keen interest in technology and worked in the robotics field during college. He represented India for the first time in the Rescue Robot League, Robocup, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2011, winning the Intel India Embedded Challenge that same year from over 2000 innovators in India with his robotics project, 'Shaurya' actually designed for rescue project of DRDO, India (Defence Research & Development Organisation). Aditya is also a professional Indian Classical Musician and a Tabla player, having presented concerts at prestigious platforms in India and abroad.
Aditya's diverse experiences have earned him recognition as a speaker at TEDx Talks at the age of 21, where he discussed sound effects in music. He has also been chosen as a Youth Cultural Ambassador of India for the World Festival of Youth and Students 2017, Russia by BRICS Forum and performed at the opening ceremony of the World Festival of Youth and Students in Siberia. He was the only Indian invited to the Tavrida National Youth Forum in the Republic of Crimea in 2018 to present Indian Classical Music. Aditya has also been interviewed by leading media outlets in India, including The Times of India, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, and Channel One of Russia.
In addition to his professional and cultural accomplishments, Aditya is also an entrepreneurship mentor in the world's biggest entrepreneurial journey, Jagriti Yatra, where he guides budding entrepreneurs for 15 days in a chartered train that circumnavigates India. Aditya is also a teacher of SAT Mathematics and AP Physics at Masterclass Space, where he not only supports students academically but also motivates them to pursue their passions and balance extracurricular activities along with academics.
Aditya is passionate about travelling, exploring different cultures, Yoga, playing Piano, blogging and working for social causes in his free time. His diverse experiences and dedication to learning and helping others make him an exceptional individual with much to offer in various fields.
