About Asha
I have 9 years of experience teaching physics to learners from high school to undergraduate levels. I hold a B.Sc in Applied Physics and an M.Sc in Astrophysical Studies, which provide a solid foundation in mechanics, energy systems, and cosmic phenomena. These degrees allow me to teach concepts with clarity, insight, and relevance to real-world applications.
My teaching approach is interactive, patient, and tailored to individual learning styles. I focus on conceptual understanding, visualisation, and practical application. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and approach physics with curiosity and confidence.
Outside teaching, I engage with physics through observing experiments, reading research, and exploring astronomical phenomena. Teaching physics is rewarding because I watch students transform from uncertainty to mastery and excitement. Physics becomes intuitive when learners connect concepts to real-world experiences. My lessons explore mechanics, thermodynamics, waves, optics, electromagnetism, and energy transformations in a structured yet engaging manner. I emphasise understanding principles rather than memorising formulas, encouraging students to visualise problems, reason logically, and engage with the underlying concepts. Each session combines illustrative examples, hands-on exercises, and thought-provoking questions to foster deep comprehension.
Lesson structures vary by student level. Beginners receive patient guidance in basic kinematics, force, energy, and simple circuits. Intermediate learners explore motion in multiple dimensions, wave behaviour, energy conservation, and problem-solving strategies. Advanced learners focus on theoretical derivations, optics, quantum ideas, and astrophysical applications. Exercises, reasoning guidance, and stepwise problem-solving reinforce mastery and build confidence.
Beyond academics, physics lessons develop analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and systematic problem-solving that extend to other subjects and life challenges. Students gain the ability to approach complex scenarios with clarity and curiosity.
