About Asfand
Hi! I'm Asfand. I have worked as the Head Physics Tutor at 2 institutions since graduating at Nottingham University. At the first, I was mainly working with A-Level and GCSE students, in group settings and at the second, I work online with individual students - mainly university and A-Level students - tailoring each lesson to each student's goals.
At University, I especially enjoyed our modules in astrophysics, logic and wave mechanics - which I specialised in. I've been tutoring since this time and have helped many students at different levels reach their academic goals.
Beyond physics tuition, I like to travel. I've just returned from a South East Asia trip, having visited the beautiful countries of Malaysia and Indonesia. I also enjoy playing chess, studying languages and reading history.

I've been tutoring students since my time at university over 6 years ago. I received my degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham and I specialised in wave mechanics.
My approach relies heavily on exam practice and through questions I guide my students to derive the specific Physics/Maths principles that need to be understood in a given topic.
My pupils currently range from university engineering students - seeking help in modules like "Engineering Science", "Fourier Series" and "Operating Systems and Boolean Logic" - to students in secondary school preparing for their GCSE's.
To cover the required material in-depth with plenty of exam question practice:
I usually plan degree level lessons to last for 1hr 30 mins - 2hrs.
A- level students for 1hr - 1hr 30 mins
For GCSE students its usually 1hr.
